Chris DeGeare Agrees To Terms

As expected, offensive lineman Chris DeGeare has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings. Chip Scoggins confirmed the signing via his Twitter account.

The 6’4″ 320 pound tackle out of Wake Forest was a fifth-round selection of the Vikings. NFL.com’s scouting report labels DeGeare as “a physically gifted lineman who has struggled with the mental aspects of the game.” DeGeare is expected to provide depth to an already determined starting five for the Vikings.

Tirelessly working like a writer scrambling to meet a deadline, the Vikings now have agreed to terms with three picks in three days. Following this timetable, Vikings vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman is right on track with two days remaining before the start of training camp to sign the two remaining rookies.
