Packers Inactives, Quinn Johnson To Start

September 19, 2010
by

The Green Bay Packers announced their inactives for their home opener against the Buffalo Bills. (Via Packers.com Blog)

Cornerback Brandon Underwood, fullback Korey Hall, linebacker Desmond Bishop, guard Nick McDonald, tackle/guard T.J. Lang, guard/tackle Marshall Newhouse, tight end Andrew Quarless, and defensive end Mike Neal.

With offensive linemen, McDonald, Lang, and Newhouse inactive, rookie Bryan Bulaga and veteran Jason Spitz will be the backups on the offensive line. If one (or both) of the Packers two 33-year-old tackles get injured, the offensive line could get interesting. Let’s hope for the best.

A couple of other notes on today’s lineup…Second year player Quinn Johnson will get the start at fullback in place of Hall, but let’s be honest, how much are the Packers going to run the ball? If they do choose to run, newest Packer, Dimitri Nance, is active and will be the team’s third running back.

Game on.
