Brett Favre Quiet, Deanna Favre Will Speak
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre met with NFL security officials yesterday to discuss allegations that he sent inappropriate pictures and messages to Jenn Sterger while both were employed by the New York Jets in 2008.
Both the league and Favre have kept the meeting private. NFL league spokesman Greg Aiello e-mailed reporters saying the league had “no comment.” Brett Favre has neither confirmed nor denied the allegations, but has stated he will let the investigation “take its course.” Favre is expected to have his regularly scheduled press conference on Wednesday where it’s safe to assume he’ll be asked about Tuesday’s meeting.
While one Favre may not be saying anything, another will be going on national television this week. Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN – Twin Cities wrote on his Twitter account that Brett Favre’s wife, Deanna, will be appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday.
As always with Favre, there will be plenty to talk about as he makes his second trip to Lambeau as a member of the visiting team. Lost in the shuffle of this whole situation is the fact that Sunday’s game should be a great one. Both teams are desperately trying to turn around their seasons, and the winner will be poised to chase down the Bears for the NFC North title.
