Driver Out, Harris Or Bigby In?
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver told Bill Michaels of AM 620 in Milwaukee that a lingering hip injury will keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Driver tested the hip in Sunday’s win against the Jets, but left the game early on.
In roster news, the Packers released Michael Montgomery two weeks after re-signing the defensive tackle. The team has not immediately filled the roster spot vacated by Montgomery, but there is a high likelihood of the Packers elevating one of the players coming off the PUP list to the spot.
The Packers have until November 9 to make a final decision on the fate of cornerback Al Harris, safety Atari Bigby and running back James Starks. However, with the release of Montgomery, it appears that one of the aforementioned players will be ready to go this week. If the Packers release an additional player this week, look for Harris and Bigby to be in uniform on Sunday.
Keep an eye on the situation to find out who gets activated this week, but for Al Harris, the truth is coming soon.
