Green Bay Packers Extend Tramon Williams

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the Green Bay Packers and cornerback Tramon Williams have reached an agreement on a contract extension through 2014.

Per McGinn, “The deal is worth $41.25 million and extends through 2014. The Packers and agent Rodney Williams completed the deal late last week but the club didn’t announce it.”

Tramon Williams has come a long way since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Currently, he was playing under a one-year restricted free agent tender and was making a little over $3 million. His new deal increases this year’s salary to just over $14 million, and the contract extension averages $8.25 million per year.
