Charles Woodson Sprains Ankle In Practice

The Green Bay Packers have suffered a multitude of injuries this season. With 13 players already on injured-reserve, the backup players have stepped up and helped the Packers enter the final stretch of their schedule with a record of 8-4. While the backup players have filled in admirably, there are a handful of players who are simply irreplaceable.

One of those players, Charles Woodson, was injured in practice. According to head coach Mike McCarthy, Charles Woodson “sprained his ankle today.” McCarthy added that he has not yet received an official report from the Packers’ training staff.

Losing Woodson for any period of time would be devastating to an already depleted defense. The Packers are hoping Woodson’s injury is not serious as they prepare to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
