Skip to content 10 Plays That Saved The Season

March 5, 2011

Mike Spofford of is putting together a series of Top-10 lists in honor of the Packers’ 13th world championship.

First up is “10 Plays That Saved The Season”. Click here to read the story and click here to watch the video.

The list is pretty comprehensive, and I only see one glaring omission: Desmond Bishop’s shoestring tackle of DeSean Jackson that set up Tramon Williams’ game-sealing interception in the Wildcard game.

As my father said, “If Bishop doesn’t reach out his arm to trip up DeSean Jackson, we’re looking at 4th-and-26 all over again.”

8 plays by the defense and 1 by the offense. I guess defense really does win championships.
