Daryn Colledge Working Out In Idaho, Not Tennessee
As his world champion teammates gather in Tennessee for informal workouts this week, Packers’ guard Daryn Colledge is choosing to work out with players from his alma mater instead.
According to Chadd Cripe of the IdahoStatesman.com, in addition to working out with three former Bronco lineman, Colledge is also doing “drills twice a week” with current Boise State University lineman Nate Potter.
“It’s fun working with the young guys,” Colledge said. “They’re hungry and ready to get after it.”
Cripe also noted that Colledge “might even participate in the Broncos’ player-run practices.”
When a new CBA is agreed upon Colledge, who was the 47th overall selection in the 2006 NFL draft, will likely be a free agent. He said the thought of leaving Green Bay “would be tough” but added that he is ready for whatever the future holds.
“I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since maybe I was a rookie,” Colledge said. “I’m ready for the next opportunity if it’s there and, if it’s not, if it’s Green Bay, I’m ready to be the best left guard I can be for them.”
