Jermichael Finley: “I’m Healthy And Ready To Go”
Eleven months removed from a meniscus tear that ended his 2010 season, Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is ready to get back to work.
Speaking to reporters in the team’s locker room on Monday, the dynamic tight end assured the group he will be ready for Thursday’s NFL season opener against the New Orleans Saints.
“It’s going to be great to get this game behind me and let the world see that I’m healthy and ready to go,” said Finley who was listed as a “limited participant” in Monday’s practice.
Finley also took to Twitter to assure his more than 74,000 followers that an ankle injury suffered in the preseason will not keep him out of regular season action.
“88 is FINE,” Finley wrote.
After two consecutive seasons of battling knee injuries, Finley appears to be ready to go in week one. Packers fans are hoping the same holds true for the next 15 after that.
