Vikings and Packers in the Pro Bowl
December 29, 2009
The Minnesota Vikings are sending 8 players to the Pro Bowl. That’s the most of any team in the NFL. Here’s the list (via NFL.com):
- Jared Allen, defensive end
- Heath Farwell, special teams
- Brett Favre, quarterback
- Steve Hutchinson, guard
- Bryant McKinnie, tackle
- Adrian Peterson, running back
- Sidney Rice, wide receiver
- Kevin Williams, defensive tackle
The Green Bay Packers are sending 3 players to the Pro Bowl.
- Charles Woodson, cornerback
- Nick Collins, safety
- Aaron Rodgers, quarterback
That’s right, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers on the same team again. Check out Kevin Seifert’s NFC North blog for instant analysis.

I just want to take a moment and say congratulations to Bryant McKinnie for his well-deserved Pro Bowl nod. When he’s not nurturing Trina’s waning rap career, taking Lavarr Arrington’s sloppy seconds, performing unspeakable acts (at least to the Norde in me) on a boat, or having his dancers/strippers/prosties dance with one of my boys at the old Escape “Ultra” Lounge, he is one fine left tackle.
Maybe the worst Pro Bowl selection ever. Fact.
Honestly. Off-the-field issues aside, the man was benched halfway through a game this year.
